DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

 

Role: Distribution Manager
Reports to: VP Distribution

THE ROLE

 

For our Distribution team we are now looking for an Distribution Manager to support and develop the BLAST distribution footprint across our portfolio of expanding media rights and international broadcast clients. The successful candidate has a proven track record in distributing entertainment or sports programming and handling TV & Online client accounts internationally. He/She is a self-starter that can generate new business leads as well as cooperate seamlessly with BLAST’s Distribution team.
The ability to present the company’s products in person, on the phone and via mail is essential. An eloquent command of the English language is a must, additional languages are an advantage.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Support BLAST’s Distribution team across TV, Online, Theatrical & Betting client accounts
Generate new revenue opportunities across TV, Online, Theatrical, Mobile and Inflight
Assist all clients with the onboarding and implementation of BLAST properties
Research and identify new targets and territories/markets for distribution
Prepare and conceptualise all relevant sales materials
Monitor the broadcast and contractual client obligations during live tournaments
Support wider commercial team with sponsor broadcast activation
Source and compile broadcast data for viewership reports

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

 

2-4 years professional experience
University degree education
Sports body or media rights agency background an advantage
Excellent people and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team and autonomous environment
Excellent analytical, reporting and presentation skills
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to details a must

 

The successful candidate will handle his own accounts and clients, as well as assist the VP Distribution as needed.

YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITOR

THE ROLE

 

We’re looking for a hungry esports loving video editor to take on daily content duties and represent BLAST at global esports events.

You must love and have knowledge of the esports world and specifically CSGO. Knowledge of other games such as DOTA2 knowledge would also be useful.

This is a huge opportunity to come into a global and fast growing esports company with big content ambitions. As such, you must be an expert creator of videos and have worked on YouTube videos before, understanding trends, best practices and the data behind a channel’s success.

Working collaboratively is vital, as this role will sit alongside the social media teams and into the Head of Digital ensuring content is in line with the BLAST brand and is growing the channel appropriately.

Full of ideas and hungry to take our channel to another level, you’ll be able to send us links at the application stage of previous work.

Ideally, you’d have experience in and understanding of keyword research, titles and metadata to ensure your videos go to another level.

 

KEY DUTIES

 

Video and Content creation

– Video editing, two videos a day for YouTube specific distribution using mainly archive, tournament footage and social cut downs for promotion

– Creating graphics for both channel and promotional content

– Writing and editing metadata and copy for videos and channels as guided by the Head of Digital and optimising titles, descriptions, and keywords

– Event output: Editing highlight reels on location during tournaments and supporting social team with cut downs

 

Editorial

– Support Head of Digital in creating and programming the channels

– Understand performance to feed into ideation and creation of new channels

 

Reporting

– Providing regular updates on channel activity and growth.

– Keeping up to date with YouTube platform developments, trends, and training.

 

This role requires attendance at all events – currently 7 tournaments a season and is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

QUALITIES

 

– At least 3 years direct video editing experience (personal or professional)

– Knowledge and experience in creating content for and growing YouTube channels

– Regular esports watcher and gamer with “fan” knowledge of CSGO

– Understanding and passion for data behind a video performance

– Collaborates effectively with colleagues across the business, setting aside self-interest to achieve the best outcome.

– A self-starter, able to drive forward projects with minimal direction to create momentum

– Equally skilled at working independently and with others

PRODUCT OWNER

 

Role: Product Owner
Reports to: Director of Product & Experience

Duration: 12 month contract with the possibility of extension

As part of our development team, we are looking for a problem solving, structured, process oriented and tech savvy Product Owner. You will be working on a large scale development project, within the organisation, so a good understanding of the entertainment, technology and software space is a must. You are driven and thrive in a fast paced environment. If you’ve been parts of major consumer facing software launches, it’s a big plus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Lead large scale projects

Implement the needed process’ for said projects (Scrum or whatever is needed for the given project)

Manage interests of various internal apartments

Work closely with and manage third party contractors

Own and manage the overarching product/project plan

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 

3-5 years of professional experience

Proven track record in product development and project management

Entertainment or technology background

You master project management methods such as scrum

Mount Everest type challenges excite you

SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER

 

Role: Senior Production Manager

THE ROLE

 

As the Senior Production Manager you will take planning and line-up lead when managing the wider team to create output from internal needs to partner or third party deliveries. You understand and master the art of small to large scale budgeting and resource allocations. Having a strong sense of when to be scrappy and when to go all out is a must.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Lead large scale productions

Own delivery and distribution of our content during events

Manage the day to day of the content department and its team

Deliver content to internal departments as well as external partners and clients

Work closely with and manage third party contractors

Own and manage the overarching production plans

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 

3-5 years of professional experience

Proven track record in content production

Entertainment background a plus

A technical understanding of equipment is also plus
