BLAST Premier Fall Final to be played in front of a crowd at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena
Danish capital to welcome the return of fans and players at BLAST Premier’s first arena event with a live audience in over 20 months
BLAST Premier has announced plans for the Fall Final (November 23-28) to take place with fans in Copenhagen’s iconic Royal Arena – the tournament organiser’s first arena event with a live audience since February 2020.
The 12,000 capacity arena will play host to the world’s best teams and talent, all competing for a $425,000 prize pool and a place in December’s hotly anticipated World Final.
November’s Fall Final will be the first BLAST Premier event in front of fans in an arena setting in nearly 20 months and over two years since the tournament organiser’s last event at the Royal Arena.
Copenhagen’s Royal Arena is the setting for the long-await return of the first BLAST Premier event in an arena with fans. Denmark’s capital is the home of BLAST and the Royal Arena is synonymous with some of the tournament organiser’s most famous moments – with the venue selling out for the last three events in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Andrew Haworth, Commissioner for BLAST Premier, said: “BLAST has been eagerly awaiting this day for some time now, we’ve hugely missed arena events and being able to take our shows to CS:GO fans all around the world – nothing can replace the feeling of players entertaining and interacting with a live audience.
“We’ve had to adapt over the last year and tried to bring that intimate arena feel to our broadcasts and productions despite the online-only format – we’ve enjoyed the challenge of pivoting, and feel this Royal Arena Fall Final will only benefit from the flexibility and technology innovation we’ve introduced during this time.”
“We can’t wait to deliver one of the most memorable Counter-Strike events in recent years. We will be following government guidelines closely on event and travel restrictions, where we have a number of contingencies in place to ensure the event is safe for the players through to the fans.”
November’s Fall Final will be made up of six teams from the Fall Groups (September 16-26) and the top two teams from the Fall Showdown (October 12-17). Winners of the Fall Final will receive a large portion of the $425.000 and qualify for the World Final where a further $1M prize pool will be up for grabs.
The last three days of the Fall Final (November 26-28) will be played in front of a full capacity arena while the first two days of the event will take place behind closed doors at the venue. Tickets for the event will go on presale from Wednesday, 16th June (11am CEST) and on public sale from Friday, 18th June (11AM CEST).
