BLAST returns to Moscow for Spring Final 2020

BLAST returns to the VTB Arena for a dramatic reunion which will see the winner of the BLAST Spring Final crowned. Last year’s BLAST event saw 7,000 roaring spectators fill every seat in the sold-out VTB Arena.

In 2020, BLAST is ramping up the action with three full days at the arena – where passionate spectators can look forward to seeing eight of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams give everything they’ve got.

Eight teams will be competing for the majority of the 750,000 USD prize pool as well as a spot in the BLAST Premier Global Final. The tournament starts Wednesday, June 17 where the first two days will be held in a studio setting, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday taking place in the VTB Arena. The winner will be decided live in the arena on Sunday 21 June.

Nicolas Estrup, Director of Product & Experience of BLAST:

“Ever since we ended our show in Moscow last year, we knew that we had to come back. A state of the art arena, strong local partner and an incredible audience made that choice easy.

That is why it was only fitting for Moscow to feature one of the biggest BLAST moments of the year, the Spring Final. It will be one of three defining moments for the teams competing, as the winner of this tournament will go on to the Global Final in the hope of winning the 1.000.000 USD prize.”

BLAST Premier 2020 kicks off next week in London, with twelve teams over three weeks battling to qualify directly for the Spring Final in Moscow. Number 1 and 2 from each group will qualify securing a spot at the Spring Final, while number 3 and 4 will battle it out in the Spring Showdown later in the year to qualify for the Spring Final.

The six teams that fail to qualify directly for the Spring Final will be joined by four teams who can either qualify through regional qualifiers or be invited directly. It’s all to play for.

BLAST partners with Winstrike again

The Moscow tournament will yet again be co-produced by Winstrike, who handles regional and local promotion and production of BLAST Premier Moscow. As an addition to last year, Winstrike will broadcast the content across TV, Online and Theatrical platforms, bringing the BLAST brand into every home in the CIS region. The deal also provides Winstrike with exclusive sponsorship, betting and marketing rights to BLAST Premier 2020 in the CIS region.
